Book Announcement: Our new book on Resilience, Adversity & Trauma in Advocacy has been published!

Book announcement-Last week our transformative book on trauma-informed lawyering was published! Good news: in its first week, our book and its legal practice principles are already spreading around Canada & the US.

And beyond to the UK, New Zealand and Ireland.

Our book is called "Trauma-Informed Law: A Primer for Lawyer Resilience and Healing," and was co-created by a collaborative team including yours truly, Marjorie Florestal, Myrna McCallum and J Kim Wright.

Our book also includes contributions from over 40 amazing lawyer authors. And it was based partly on a survey of legal professionals, and was published by the American Bar Association, Practice Management Division.

The book is available here: http://ow.ly/C53j50Nz1OX

I'm proud to be part of the team of editors and insightful authors who created this book over the past 2.5 years.

And I hope that the book.... plus the heartfelt practices it contains for resilience....reaches each place it can be helpful to clients and lawyers. Including law schools in Canada, the United States and beyond!

Now available for purchase from the ABA Store online (hard copy or e-book available).

(You don't need to be an ABA member to purchase.)

(If you're deciding between the hard copy and e-copy, note that there are a few graphics in the book. Sometimes the graphics are nicer to read in hard copy, depending on your preference.)
